| Directions to Llanarth Estate Office | ||
From Abergavenny, take the B4598 (old Abergavenny to Raglan Road) for approximately 4 miles; turn left towards Llanarth (signposted). Take this road for about one mile, and Llanarth Estate Office is on your right - just before the signpost and right-hand junction to The Pit – (if you reach the archway of Llanarth Court, you’ve gone too far). The Office is the first building you come to, inside the Estate Maintenance and Forestry Yard. From Cardiff/Newport/M4, take the A449 towards Abergavenny/Midlands. Take the left hand slip road off towards Raglan, signposted to Abergavenny (A40 Westbound): Or if you are coming from M5/M50/Monmouth, take the A40 dual-carriageway from Monmouth towards Raglan and exit at the Abergavenny/ Raglan slip-road (remaining on the A40). (The exit is only signposted once in advance of the junction, and thereafter the dual carriageway becomes the A449, with a long distance before a U-turn can be made): - Then approach the first roundabout where you take
the old Abergavenny/Clytha road – the last exit off the roundabout,
(not the A40 dual carriageway to Abergavenny). Travel along this road
for about 4 miles, (passing the
Clytha Arms pub on the right, after about 3 miles); then turn sharp right
towards Llanarth (signposted). Thereafter, follow directions as from
Abergavenny above. |
