Fishing on the Usk

This 42lb Salmon, length 49 inches, was caught on a Llanover beat of the River Usk.

The River Usk is a notified Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and European Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The estate is an enthusiastic supporter of the Wye and Usk Foundation, which is an independent charity which is working on the Usk and Wye river systems to enhance and protect the riparian environment.

The estate lets out three trout and salmon beats on a seasonal basis. The rights to fish are mostly from both banks. Occasionally day rods are available through the Wye and Usk Foundation.
